The CRIC-21 session, dedicated to the implementation of the Convention on Drought Control, was held in Samarkand from November 13 to 17. More than 196 participants from various countries attended this event, including high-ranking representatives. Among the main figures of the session were Bilyana Kalibarda, the Chairman of the Senate of Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, and Aziz Abdukhakimov, Minister of Ecology.

The session brought together representatives from various departments such as ministries of ecology, environmental protection, and combating climate change; scientific institutes for environmental and natural protection technologies; as well as organizations such as UNCCD and UNDP. Scientists from more than ten foreign countries also attended the event.

This session was a significant event for discussing current issues and finding effective solutions to the challenges of drought management and its impact on the environment. Participants shared their experiences, presented the findings of their research, and discussed potential avenues for collaboration to improve the current situation in this field.
