On July 28, 2021, the opening ceremony for the TUIT Press Club took place at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies.

The event was attended by representatives from various information technology companies, bloggers, and journalists. The deputy minister for information technology and communications of Uzbekistan, Jamshid Egamberdiev, spoke at the ceremony and expressed hope that the press club would become a platform for dialogue. The rector of the University of Journalism and Mass Communication of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Kudratkhuja, noted that the club was one of the first such centers to be established at a university.The organizers answered questions from bloggers and journalists.

At the end of the event, a press club tour was organized for guests.
