The 13th Tashkent International Film Festival took place from September 28 to October 3, 2021, bringing together 400 filmmakers from 40 countries and over 1,500 students. The festival continues the traditions established by the Asian, African, and Latin American International Film Festivals. Tashkent becomes a hub for filmmakers worldwide, showcasing new films, including collaborative projects featuring Uzbek filmmakers.

In addition to film screenings, previous editions of the festival have included the "Cinema in 5 Days" competition, signing ceremonies for cooperation agreements, presentations of new film projects, and innovations at the House of Cinema and Uzbekfilm studio.
